How do I care for my finished garment?
The yarns we offer are heirloom quality and minimally processed, and should last generations with proper care. It is highly recommended that you hand-wash your garment in a lanolin-rich wool wash free of synthetic fragrances or chemicals. We take great care to remove dye from skeins during the washing and rinsing process, but light bleeding (especially with darker colors) still may occur. If you are creating a high-contrast garment with colorwork, it's highly recommended that you do a swatch sample wash to check for bleeding before beginning, and then steam block your finished garment. After washing, gently block or shape your garment to dry. Machine drying is never recommended. Store garments in moth-proof bags during warmer seasons to protect and add longevity. Hand-made garments are a reflection of slow fashion, and they are meant to last years, perhaps even generations. A little extra love and care will help to ensure that possibility.
Why does my skein look a little different than the one pictured?
Hand-dyed yarn, by its nature is special in that no two skeins are alike. While we do our best to ensure consistency in our colorways, slight variations naturally occur, and only serve to enhance the uniqueness of each skein.
Is your yarn cruelty-free?
We choose to source our yarn from suppliers who uphold the highest standards in animal husbandry and well as care for the environment and water waste management. Each skein is produced with a great care for ethics, nature, and sustainability.
What is your return policy?
We hope that your order brings you nothing but joy, but if it doesn't, please contact us and we will do our best to ensure your happiness. Yarn in its original form (labels intact and uncaked) may be returned within 14 days from original purchase for a refund or exchange. Shipping fees will not be refunded. International and custom orders are final.
How soon will my order ship?
Orders are shipped within 3-4 days of purchase from, Monday-Friday from SAN DIEGO, CA, USA. Orders mailed Priority can be expected to arrive within 2-3 days of being shipped, orders shipped First Class can be expected within 5-7 of being shipped.
Why hasn't my package arrived?
Please understand that mail delays do occur, especially during holiday seasons. If for some reason your package hasn't arrived during the expected time frame, please refer to the email sent with your tracking information and contact USPS directly. We cannot be responsible for lost packages, and all claims must be filed directly by the buyer with USPS.
What about International Orders?
All international orders outside of the U.S. and Canada will be processed DHL. Once packages are shipped, we cannot be responsible for lost items or those held up in customs. Buyer is responsible for any extra charges accrued by customs. Packages that are refused will only be refunded the cost of the items and not shipping charges.
